Restaurants for a romantic dinner in Venice

Venice is the city of love and the most romantic. No doubt. Everyone speaks of Paris as well as Florence and Rome in Italy, but they even speak of this tiny little island in the Venetian lagoon.

Why not add to this vacation by holding hands, gondola rides, kisses at sunset and a romantic dinner in some nice restaurant possibly with a nice outside area. It’s hard to believe that it’s not so simple to find a good restaurant in Venice.

Ostaria da Rioba

If you want to taste the typical Venetian cuisine with some modern changes, this is just the place for you. The ingredients (some come directly from the splendid Venetian island of Sant’ Erasmo) and the atmosphere are both young and pleasant. All of it is topped by a pleasant background on the Fondamenta della Misericordia in Cannaregio.

Al Muro

Here you’ll find a perfect bond between a modern location and menu that’s not only Venetian. The excellent comparison between price and quality of food, make Muro a sure bet if you want to eat somewhere between Rialto, San Polo, and Santa Margherita. You can choose from their two different locations (Muro San Stae ad Muro Frari) both intimate and romantic with outside seating.

If you would like to eat on the border of a canal, not far from the main street Strada Nova, and yet a little off route in a romantic position, you can choose the Osteria Cantinon close to Campo della Maddalena.  A traditional cuisine with refined touches is an ideal  dinner for two under the splendid sotto portico in front of the restaurant.

For a special dinner, this is the place for you. It has an incredible view on the San Giorgio and Redentore Church, facing the Giudecca Canal while being on the Zattere. The menu is creative yet traditional and innovative.  It’s the perfect location if you want to experience the romantic atmosphere that envelopes Venice.
