The Venetian territory (where Venice is the center) is known for its excellent wine production. One of its most famous wines is Prosecco. During Aperitif hours- which is sacred in Venice – Prosecco runs like the river- straight-up or in a spritz. In the Cannaregio quarter, just a few minutes away from the Guglie bridge, this bar has a speakeasy resemblance where you will find just the cocktail for you. Reminiscent of the Orient and expertise behind the bar, The Mercante is found just in front of the imminent Basilica dei Frari, in the San Polo quarter. You’ll find Drinks inspired by trips from the Venetian Marco Polo and many other cocktails- even non-alcoholic- that follow the seasons and the talented barmen’s inspirations.
If you’re looking for the most classical, you can’t pass up the aperitif that has become symbol of an iconic place to drink cocktails. Set a time and have a fresh Bellini at the historical Harry’s bar in San Marco. A delicious drink that you should be prepared to spend an arm and a leg for.
Skyline Rooftop Bar
During the summer it is one of the hottest spots and not to mention has delicious cocktails all year round. The Skyline Rooftop bar at the Giudecca, on the last floor of the Hotel Hilton Stucky, apart from having a marvelous view has an amazing selection of cocktails dedicated to the City of Venice.
